High grade aluminum is treated with several layers of 2000° High Heat Flat Black Ceramic Coating.
Beam enters, hits the 45° aluminum cone, dissipates the beam into infinity, absorbing the light into the flat black sides, all while absorbing the heat of the laser into and out the aluminum block.
If the power is over 5 Watts, make sure the focus of the beam defused to extend the life of your beam stop.
